Just a year ago, Redmi became an independent brand in India. To celebrate its anniversary, the company has entered a new category in the Indian market: Power Banks! Redmi Launches two new 10,000mAh & 20,000mAh Power banks in India.
Xiaomi is not new to making power banks and neither is Redmi. The independent brand had launched a couple of power banks in China last year in July. It seems that the same energy banks have been announced in the Indian market. Both the 10000 mAh and 20000 mAh power banks come with dual inputs and outputs. Therefore, you can charge them through a MicroUSB or USB-C cable. In addition, the two USB-A ports can be used to charge your smartphone, tablet or even small accessories using the low power smart mode.

The Redmi 10000 mAh power bank comes with a 3.7, 37Wh battery along with 2 USB Type-A outputs (5.1V-2.4A / 5.1V-2.6A). For the inputs, it is a USB Type-C / Micro USB input with 5V-2.1A power. The device comes with protection against the current, overload, and short circuits and measures 150.5 x 73.6 x 15.1 mm.
Redmi 10,000mAh and 20,000mAh power banks are available in two colors, gorgeous black, and elegant white. They have smooth and round corners and have grooves on the sides for a better grip.
On the other hand, the largest 20,000mAh power bank comes with a 3.7, 74Wh battery and has two USB Type-A outputs (5.1V-2.4A / 5.1V-3.6A / 9V-2A / 12V-1.5A) . For input, there are USB Type C / micro USB ports with 5V-2.1A / 9V-2.1A / 12V-1.5A power. Similar to the smallest power bank, even this one comes with protection against overcurrent, overpower, short circuit and some more. These 20,000 mAh power bank measures. 154 × 73.6 × 27.3 mm and provides fast two-way charging of 18 watts.
While the 10000 mAh power bank can enter and exit at 10W, the large 20000 mAh power bank can charge itself, as well as other devices, at a slightly faster-charging speed of 18W.
Both power banks have 12-layer circuit chip protection that includes overvoltage protection, temperature protection, short-circuit protection and over-current protection.

The Redmi 10,000mAh power bank is priced at Rs. 799 ($ 11) in India, while the 20,000 mAh model will cost you Rs. 1499 ($ 21). In comparison, the same models are priced at 59 yuan ($ 8.5) and 99 yuan ($ 14) in China, respectively.
Redmi power banks will go on sale for the first time on February 18 at 12 p.m. through the Mi.com and Mi Home stores throughout India.
